The Assembly’s first project, Hartford investigated one of history’s forgotten disasters: the tragic and mysterious fire that consumed the Ringling Bros.’ Circus in Hartford, CT in the summer of 1944. Our retelling immersed the audience within the ashen remains of the three-ring circus, recreating a history – part real, part imagined – from the fragments of fact and fantasy that remained. The project traveled to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2006, where it was nominated for the coveted Fringe First Award. $10 online and at the door |

Students are ages 10-13 and they will be teachers for this 1.5 hour class. Jointly, they will teach a ballet class for their parents and other invited guests, ages 16+. Don your tutu or your sweatpants…you’ll learn the difference between plies and changements, degages and frappes. This class will be geared to the Adult Ballet Novice!
