Ages 6 – 12

Following Spoke’s resoundingly successful Presidents’ Week Multi-Arts Camp, and in response to requests by our pleased campers and parents, Spoke the Hub has whipped up another fabulous week-long day camp for youngsters 6-12. Your child will explore rhythms and beats in music, dancing, art, poetry and performance.

CAMP SCHEDULE

9:30 am – 11:00 am
  • WRITING, POETRY & RAPPING with Dexter Wimberly
11:00 am – 12:30 pm


  • STEP DANCING with Donnica Hamlet
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm


  • BAG LUNCH & FREE PLAY with Jennifer Von Graevenitz
  • (outdoor play at P.S. 282 playground, weather permitting)
1:30 pm – 3:30 pm


  • STUDIO ART WORKSHOP with Ingrid Alvarez
3:30 pm – 5:00 pm
  • AFRICAN DRUMMING with Gabriella Dennery

All classes are located at 748 Union Street, except Monday, March 29, class is located at the Gowanus Arts Building, 295 Douglass Street.

IMPORTANT: Monday, 3/29 – All campers will meet at 748 Union Street and will walk over to 295 Douglass Street with Spoke the Hub instructors promptly at 9:30 am. All campers will be walked back over to 748 Union Street for 5:00 pm pick up.


Fees**

Students bring own bag lunch and snack.

  • Full Day (5 days): $375 (register online below)
  • Full Day Drop-In: $100 per day (only if space permits)
  • Half Day Drop-In: $50 per day (only if space permits)
  • Early Drop-Off: $50 (week only)
  • Late Pick-up: $50 (week only)
  • Art Materials Fees: $12 for 5 days, $3 for 1 day (cash or check only)
